We went for lunch then exploring with the cameras, I wanted to check out this little place I saw from a bus one day.
First we went to The Vine. One of Josh's favorite writers wrote about The Vine and he has been wanting to check it out, so we did....
The Vine was not what was described in the book. It was just your basic sports bar.
We were seated but then Josh moved us, because he hates being sat right next to another table in an empty restaurant. I understand why they do it, because they don't want the server running all around an empty restaurant, but Josh finds it irritating haha, so we moved to the corner.
The place was quiet, clean and the server was nice. But what we thought was interesting was the music that played......it was just the most random collection of songs, I am guessing from someones iPod. It couldn't have been a radio station.
My Heart will go on
N*sync
Gangters Paradise
No Diggity
I like Big Butts
Believe by Cher
Because I love you
That was in the exact order that the songs played...it was funny. We Ordered. This was defiantly a sports bar....they had like 7 different buffalo sauces for buffalo wings.... Josh ordered a sandwich with sweet potato fries, he just loves those, I think they are gross.
It was actually really good, the fries and the wrap both very tasty....other than the music I recommend this place for a lunch outing.....but not dinner it gets packed, after all this is a college town.
After lunch we went over to the spot I wanted to check out for photos....from the but it looked like a cute little fairytale get away...
While walking we came to a fork....left or right?? we went right....up a hill. Then it went left....we followed it until it led us out, which really wasn't that far. The path led us out to the street, next to the parking for the hospital....but we got some beautiful pictures from our little walk...

We walked out of our little fairytale path and walked to Downtown Iowa City, where we saw a big crowd of people, we wondered what they were huddled around and as we got closer we saw in the center of this group was actor Justin Long talking about voting and how important it is...good job Mr. Long.
Just goes to show, you never know what you are gonna see walking about and checking things out....so my advise is to get out there and see what there is to see.
