Madi and I started doing a weekly date night with our friends Erica and Alex. On this night we went to a new hibachi grill that opened up in Iowa City, IA called Fuji Sushi & Steakhouse. I have never experienced hibachi before so this was all kinds of new to me.
As you walk in there is a sushi bar on the right.
The hibachi grill room has a bunch of tables, with the grills in the middle. You can also choose to eat in their dinning room if you prefer.
We started off with soup, we had Miso soup but they have an onion soup is soooo good. Our hibachi grilling master came and lit up our grill. Oh boy was that hot , hot, hot. Then as the grill heated up he wowed up with his fancy spatula work. hahaha.

Once the grill was nice and toasty, our grilling Master scrambled some eggs and had us catch them in our mouths. While everyone in our group was great at catching egg in their mouth, I unfortunately do not possess this skill at all, it took 3 tries for me to catch it, our chef just about gave up on me. LOL

I cannot express how good this meal was....OMG good!!!! I had the chicken, Erica had veggies, Madi had the salmon and Alex had shrimp.

The only thing I think was a down fall was the appetizer did not come out first and our drinks took a very long time. Everything else made up for it!!! I am sure they want to wait to see if a table will fill up before the hibachi grilling master begins the greatness you will witness, which is cool, if other people do show up and sit at your table, make friends and talk you are in for fun entertainment and delicious food.
