Date Night Halloween Ghost Tour

On this night we embraced Halloween with a ghost tour around Old Town California with a Medium, followed by a seance at the haunted Cosmopolitan Hotel, in the Bandini room.  So the plan was to meet my friend Chanel at the Cosmopolitan Hotel around 7pm we will then head off around Old Town. I got there to see Chanel, my friend Tracy, her husband and the Medium Bonnie waiting. Since we were waiting for others to show I had a drink (was also gonna order some food but ran out of time) wish I did order food....I got a bit tipsy..oops
The Cosmopolitan Hotel

After Trisha and Julie showed up we took a walk around Old Town. Chanel Knows a lot about the Cosmopolitan...she also appears on Ghost Hunters telling stories of the famous haunted Cosmopolitan.

We walked through Old Town while Bonnie told us about the history of the area. I felt she was more of a historian rather than a medium, whether or not she can speak with spirits, I don't know. I will say I was not convinced.

This house is right next to the trolley station in Old town where we were standing was actually an unmarked cemetary....creepy. Bonnie said that there has been many stories of people hearing children playing next to the      trolley station when there was no one there.

At the Whaley House Bonnie tells us more stories about the Whaley's and who really died in and around that house. Like Violet Whaley's death, whether or not she killed herself...it was determined that she shot herself in the heart by her own hand. Bonnie said she had once spoke to a child spirit around that house that told her that it was an assisted suicide. There are tours that go onto the Whaley House but we got there too late. I've done those tours as well and there are also pretty cool.

Next to the Whaley house is the El Campo Santo Cemetery
there are grave sites like this one outside the cemetary...on the sidewalk and in the street. The cemetary tombstones have been moves around and the cemetary shrunk down since it was first built so the bodies are still there but the markers have been moves around.

This plaque in front of the cemetary states that there are graves of adults and children in the street.
This is the marker of a very tall man named "Yankee Jim" that was hanged in the gallows...where the house is now built. It was said that he stole a boat and found guilty then hanged but because he was so tall that when they pulled the wagon from him he was still able to touch the ground so his neck didn't break, he just strangled to death while everyone stood there and watched. Bonnie said she once talked to "Yankee Jim" and he said he didn't steal the boat, he just has the same color shirt as the person seen stealing the boat. According to Bonnie "Yankee Jim" also said that he wasn't hanged at the Whaley House, he was hanged across the street from the cemetery.

photo op. (yes there is a photo op even in a cemetery

This is the marker of a child named Annabel, who was not part of the Whaley family but a friend who would come over to play with the youngest daughter. According to legend she was running and accidentally broke her neck on a low clothes line. Bonnie mentioned this story while we were on our tour with her, she said this little girl spoke with her as well.

After the Whaley house we made our way back to the Cosmopolitan. Got some more wine for our tour of the Hotel.

We walked up to room 11 where most of the paranormal activity has been reported.

I did get some footage of this room with the lights off but nothing happened, just Bonnie saying that a spirit entered the room and was communicating with her, said her name was Sally and she thought Miguel was cute... then we went to room 4 and 5 where other activity has been known to happen.

Miguel opening the door
Me, Miguel and Trisha went into room 4 and 5 before everyone else, the room or conjoined so really it's one room. In one part of this room is a sitting area with a closet and a fire place, the other part of the room has a large bed, 2 rocking chairs (an adult one and a baby one), and a dresser with a large mirror.
While I was taking pics of this, Trisha was staring at the mirror, Miguel was at the foot of the bed telling us about the face carved in the headboard and in the mirror..then I hear sqweek, sqweek, sqweek...I look over at Miguel and behind him the baby rocking chair is just going...rocking away. I say does anyone else see that?" Trisha turns around fumbles with her phone to take a pic of it but once everyone looks at it it immediately stops, it doesn't  slow down and stop...just stops.
I was excited that something happened..I got to see something. Bonnie and everyone else walks in and I wait to see if she says a spirit was in the room but nothing...Trisha and I tell everyone what happened and Bonnie just looked at us...like that's nice.

Right after when everyone came in, Trisha had Julie take a pic of her...there was no light around to cause that white blur at the bottom, the fireplace is behind Trisha, there was no flash on her phone...so we decided that it is a ghost.
We all go to the sitting area and talk.

Tracy asks bonnie if she does personal readings (I think Tracy wanted to talk with her mom) but Bonnie said no, that's not how she works...then she started talking about how Michael Jackson contacted her and said the doctor killed him and then she said Marilyn Monroe contacted her...(I was done after hat) I all of a sudden started coughing and it tasted like vomit (I was not sick, and I never get acid reflux) so I took it as a sign it was time to go....I abruptly stood up, Chanel asked if I was ready to go, I said yes but I didn't know how to get out... everyone else got up to leave as well.
It was almost midnight by the time I stood up... we got our tour of Old Town but no seance :( I don't know if Bonnie is a real Medium but with all the name dropping it made it feel kinda hokey... but I did get to see something paranormal (without her help) and that made my night.

It was a fun adventure, can't wait for the next :)
